Let him who is without knowledge keep silent. Mr. Lumbroso has no facility in the use of the English language. Although he claims to have had the assistance of proofreaders, none is evident. One can only be amazed that he managed to find a publisher for his collection of incompetently communicated incoherent and unsupported thoughts.
Don't waste your time and money on this book unless you seek only an attractive addition to your decor. If instead you are looking for a true and valuable Messianic devotional book, be sure to acquire The Voice of the Lord. Oh, that there were more volumes or editions of that noteworthy tome!
The Voice of the Lord Messianic Jewish Daily Devotional
A fantastic Messianic devotional that everyone can enjoy. Mr. Lumbroso makes very insightful connections between the Torah and the New Testament, shining light on how our Messiah is woven throughout the Scriptures. An excellent way to begin each day and a wonderful Bible study resource!
I have been using this book since it was released and have had nothing but blessings in my life and outlook since. Too, I have learned so much about the word, things I never knew because of my lack of a Hebrew language background. I recommend this book for all believers who desire a greater understanding of the Word and a deeper walk with the Lord. Thanks to the author for writing down and sharing his insights and knowledge for posterity, in one of the best daily devotionals I've read in a long while. I get so tired of the pablum and want the meat of the word, the meat that is getting as rare as a grass fed cow.
Although I have never written a review before, I am compelled to do so after the most recent reviewer gave this book such a low score and said such inflammatory things. I'm not quite sure why she was not able to appreciate this devotional and gain a deeper insight and understanding of the Hebraic traditions and how God has worked in and through His Chosen people to include all people in His plan of salvation. Although it is true there are errors in spelling or words used in the book this in no way interferes with ones ability to grow in your walk with the Lord. This book helped me to see passages in the Bible in different ways. It made me go back to the scriptures frequently and read/research what had been said. As with any book or teacher, one may not agree 100% of the time with the way things are presented but that does not mean you can't learn or gain anything from their teaching. I have gained so much from this author's teaching that when I found out he has a website with devotionals I have now incorporated that into my daily Bible study time. [...]
